Basic Wellness Services
The team at MBM Clinic has a mission to end pet overpopulation and to provide much-needed, affordable veterinary care in order to support pet owners in their efforts to care for dogs and cats by offering BASIC WELLNESS SERVICES.
Wellness Days are Thursdays and Fridays 9:00am — 4:00pm
Wellness Days include walk-in services for reduced-cost vaccines with our Licensed Veterinary Technician as well as scheduled appointments with our veterinarian for routine physicals, minor illnesses and general care.
We carry flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, dewormer, joint supplements, and more to help you provide affordable, basic, veterinary care for your pet!
Virginia law requires any animal needing prescription medication to have had a
physical exam by a licensed veterinarian within the last year. This includes
prescription flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.
To comply with this requirement, any patient seeking vaccines, prescription
preventatives or other medical care that necessitates prescription medications
MUST see our veterinarian for a physical exam. That physical exam is “good for”
one year. During that year, the patient can receive refills and booster vaccines
through our licensed veterinary technician appointments. If the patient has any
medical need that wasn’t diagnosed by our veterinarian in the initial exam, it will
need to have a repeat exam for further treatment or medication.
MBM Spay/Neuter Clinic Wellness Services offers TWO options:
Licensed Veterinary Technician Visits: Services offered during Vet Tech visits do not require an exam fee or appointment for established patients who have been seen by one of our veterinarians in the past year.
